What's New at TV8
TV8 is a leased access cable station carried on the Comcast Cable System from East Vail to Cordillera and on the Centry Tel System in Eagle and Gypsum, Colorado. We began operations in 1990 with small revenues and big dreams. We have experienced great success and many of our dreams have been realized. Through the years we have grown exponentially and today we offer everything a network affiliate provides, just on a smaller scale. Here’s a snapshot of where we are today and where we are going in the future.
-
TV8 now has digital acquisition, post production, and playback capabilities.
-
Two Finel Cut Pro non-linear digital editing suites help ensure the quality of our finished product.
-
Good Morning Vail is aired daily at 7 AM and features a three camera studio shoot, a Lionshead mall cam, the Eagle Bahn Sky cam, and live remotes from Beaver Creek three days a week. In addition, we access web cam shots from throughout the Vail/Eagle valley, both ski mountains, and the Colorado Department of Transportation web cams.
-
Up to the minute weather, grooming, and mountain conditions are delivered “on the 8’s” daily on Good Morning Vail, at 8, 18, 28, 38, 48, and 58 after the hour.
-
We now feature animated moving trail maps for the mountain reports, both winter and summer to provide our viewers with the most up to date mountain conditions.
-
We now deliver the TV8 signal to Eagle and Gypsum Colorado via digital high-speed data circuits.
-
COMING SOON…We are now in the planning stages for our state of the art TV8 MEDIA CENTER in Avon, Colorado which will offer brand new digital studios, the latest technology in acquisition and post production equipment, satellite up-link, and digital media content creation.
